Eggs found frying on the streets of Dingle

Alright, that might be a slight exaggeration, but we have finally got some sunshine in Dingle. Derek's legs have seen the light of day and the Government have requested that they be put undercover immediately.

Marion, Dave, Andy & Alison land on Thursday. Phil & Jackie are on the way over, as are Kevin & Anne. Karenann has said that she is booking tickets for August and Keith & Fergal are coming over near the end of that month. I think we'd better leave Dingle while the last remnants of our good names remain intact.

Big Hello to Flossy, we'll try not to publish anymore subversive dog pictures that will cause Archie to rebel.

Promise to publish some piccies of Andy and Dave in the water, as soon as we have them.

Bloody Hell, a month already!!!

Yip, I've been in Dingle for over a month now – the manic last hours of panicked packing are a vague memory now, although I'm sure that Kareann is still regaling everyone with the story of my “Scramble to Stansted”. Amazing things have happened in the last month, not least of which was Marion passing her driving test – the black panther is now free to roam (Dave is being put forward for a Nobel on the back of his patience and perseverance). I've yet again managed to miss another U2 concert, but Kevin was kind enough to ring me from Twickenham just to let me know what I'd missed, thanks Kev. It was also our third aanniversary last Thursday, needless to say the night was spent trying to match the levels of inebriation as the first time we met, but with little success. Finally, I need to mention a word of thanks to Mairead for providing a replacement pair of Guinness slippers for Lisa – Mairead you're a saviour.

Only two weeks before the first of the visitors start arriving from abroad – Dave and Andy have even said that they will come for a dive – the photos will of course be posted on the blog.

We've been getting into the rhythm of diving and working in Dingle, a stranger place would be hard to imagine. A fine example of this is the Tuesday night Film Club at Dingle cinema. Tea and coffee are available at the front, when everyone is settled then the cinema owner stands to read the trailers for next week's film. No, you did not read that wrong, he reads a review of the film and then proceeds to show the poster to an expectant crowd. It must work because we keep going back each week.

This weekend we're going to go whale watching at Slea Head (near The Blaskets), if we spot anything we'll let you know. Also, Sunday is a Civil Defence practice day, so Dingle Marina will be mayhem for the day – I look forward to the stories that will come from that.

Let us know if there is anything you'd like us to cover in the blog by adding a comment or just let us know what you think of our ramblings.
